Hank came to Saving Grace in October 2019. He was surrendered to Lubbock Animal Services by his owner. He was very skinny and suffering from a painful case of happy tail, which is caused by his tail wagging in a small space and hitting the walls until it breaks the skin. We are hopeful that it will completely heal now that he is in a larger run.
Hank is also receiving treatment for heartworms. He would greatly benefit from a foster home where he can recover in a peaceful environment. Even just a three month commitment would help him so much.
Hank is a talker and just wants your love and attention. His previous owner reported that he is good with other dogs. We walked him with Lemon, a female his size, and he did well with her. Due to his heartworms, we can't let him run and play in the yard yet, but he can go on walks. We aren’t sure of his age, but he is an adult and probably less than 5 years old. Hank deserves a home that will care for him and not give up on him like his old owner. Contact us if you are interested in meeting Hank.
